Relevant bills have paved the way for the House and will be favored by state-of-the-art low-pollutant vehicles.
The annual registration will be determined firstly on the basis of pollutants emitting a passenger car up to 9 seats.
Pollutants
- Mass fraction less than or equal to 120 gr / km - 0.50 cents per gram.
Maximum amount of 60 euros.
- 121 gr / km to 150 gr / km - 3 euros per gram.
Maximum amount 450 euro.
- 151gr / km to 180gr / km - 6 euros per gram.
Maximum amount of EUR 1,080.
- Greater than 180 g / km - 12 euros per gram. The maximum amount will not exceed € 1,500.
However, the total annual leave will be charged at a one-off fee, depending on the age and fuel type of the vehicle when it is first used. It concerns passenger cars up to 9 seats and goods transport vehicles with a maximum mass of 3.5 tonnes. Charges begin if the vehicle is over one year old. As follows….
Age of vehicles
Cars 1 to 2 years old.
Gasoline - 0 euros. Diesel - 100 euros.
2 to 3 years old.
Gasoline - 50 euros. Diesel - 200 euros.
3 to 4 years.
Gasoline - 100 euros. Diesel - 300 euros.
4 to 5 years old.
Gasoline - 250 euros. Diesel - 500 euros.
5 to 8 years old.
Gasoline - 500 euros. Diesel - 1000 euros.
8 to 10 years old.
Gasoline - 750 euros. Diesel - 1500 euros.
10 years of age or older.
Gasoline - 1000 euros. Diesel - 2000 euros.
That is, in the extreme case of a used diesel vehicle, more than ten years old and with pollutants above 180 grams per kilometer, the annual license will be 3,500 Euros.
The charges are for cars registered in the beginning of 2019 and not for existing ones.
The new way of calculating the registration fee will be partly offset by the abolition of excise duty on the import of second-hand vehicles, also proposed in the bill. This measure will result in a loss of revenue, which will be gradually offset by the registration taxes for the vehicles that will be registered for the first time.
The Council of Ministers also approved the granting of incentives to withdraw an older vehicle.
Note that for passenger cars, the cubic parameter, which will be taken into account in determining the registration fee, remains unaltered.
